Why is religion dustructive?

Jesus did not come to start a new religion !!! He didn't come to fix the old one (Judaism).

Religion is man made and man controlled . Jesus came to reconcile us back to the Creator.

Religion is man doing and expecting some kind of reward. Jesus came and is full of grace and truth.

Religion is man  doing in order to make a god perform for them. Jesus gives us grace which is God doing man receiving.

I hate religion because it causes billions everyday to miss the grace  and the love of God.

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death. Proverbs 14:12

Religion says you must do this. You must do that. If you can't produce  then your just hopeless. God the Father gives us grace and truth through and by Jesus. He says I love you and you are forgiven!

Here's God's viewpoint on what we have to offer:

What the Lord is saying? He's saying,"We are tainted with sin and even the fruit that we produce is tainted with sin."

 The first garden that I ever put in by myself  I planted cucumbers too close to the watermelons. The result was cross pollination. So, a few of the melons tasted and had characteristics of cucumber. They produced seed but it was no good because it was mixed with cucumber.

Religion and the works of religion cannot produce the fruit of the Spirit. In our own works we will always fall short. That's why the gospel of grace is so wonderful. Gospel means good news. What is the good news ?  The good news is that you are forgiven! No matter who you are, where you are, what you've done, you are forgiven. He is not willing that any should perish.

 " not wishing that any should perish" 2 Peter 3:9



Imagine you are a victim of a ship sinking. You have been drifting for hours clinging to a piece of debris. You are exhausted and have reached the point of all hope being gone. Then out of the fog a rescue boat  appears.  You have very little strength  and you fear that if you turn loose of your makeshift  raft you will sink and drown. You have no strength to swim. The boat comes closer ."Turn loose of the debris!", is the call. "I will lift you" is the encouragement from the boat that is sliding closer to you. "Is this real? Can I trust the voice? Am I dreaming? Ive lost it completely.... I can still feel the box...... that's my support.  I can't feel my feet or legs. I'm so cold." Then you feel something on your back .Now grasping your shoulder. You can barely  turn your head to look, but you do.  There is  a seaman's hand, scarred  and leathery, but the grip is strong.  The  hand  is gripping your coat. Your being tugged away from your raft!  And now you hear in a commanding but calm tone, "Turn loose of the box...I can't save you if you hang on to the chest. I've got you.... trust me!" You know now this is real you can be saved. You turn loose and are pulled to safety.

The obvious question to you is ....what are you clinging to?????

The gospel of grace is the rescue from God. It's the good news. He pulls us to safety.

Too many in this world are trusting in a religion is some form that is ...you doing something or learning some secret knowledge. It my be .human reason and logic.  I'm not knocking these things. After all you don't shut your brain off when you get saved. There are works that are a result of the faith and relationship with the Lord. These come from the new life we have received.

Religion says to God, "I appreciate it God... but I got this" The Father says, " No, you don't. But I love you and I have made a way,  and that way is Jesus the Christ my only begotten Son in whom I'm well pleased."

There is more to share on this subject but time constrains me . So,I will cut it off for now.

But, this one thing remember. Jesus did payed it all. The Father says you are forgiven .

 " him that cometh to me, I will not cast out. ..." John 6: 37

I hate religion because it relies on performance and not on the grace of God. More to come.

Frank Marshall Davis.................
In June of 1950, a person Frank Marshall Davis was trying to recruit into the Communist Party revealed to the FBI, that his interest in the Party went back to 1931 with the Scottsboro and Angelo Herndon cases.
Certainly from the mid/late '30s to the early '40s Davis was involved in several Communist Party fronts including the the National Negro Congress, the League of American Writers, the National Federation for Constitutional Liberties and the Civil Rights Congress.
The FBI first began tracking Davis in 1944 when they identified him as member of the Communist Party's Dorie Miller Club in Chicago-card number 47544.

Why I hate religion

I used that title on purpose hopefully to capture attention. If your reading this then then it worked. There is truth to the statement though. I do hate religion. Before you turn me off, give me a little of your time to consider my points.
I'll make some commitments to you:

First:  I'll won't get into some long wordy discussion of the topic. I will try to be concise.

Second:  I will give the  truth and that in the confines of scripture. ( If you don't believe in the veracity and authority of the Bible this will be difficult for you but not impossible)

 I like definitions and etymology of words so I begin with a definition;

2: a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices 

 It's the second part that I want to look at. You see religion can be a lot about believing about something or someone. Believing in something or someone  is different..Hopefully we can see the difference and that will help free us.

I want to make clear I do not hate any race of people on the planet!!!!! But there are things that people believe that I do hate because it is destructive!!!!   (more to come)

I hate religion. It destroys constantly. I love God. He rescued me! I love Jesus He set me free! I love the Holy Spirit He found me an showed me Jesus when I didn't know how much trouble I was in! But, I hate religion.
